For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God

2 Corinthians 5:21

JERRED UNRUH

Born and raised in Enid Oklahoma, Jerred Unruh, was introduced to Christ at an early age. Eventually, by

God’s grace, through the faithful witness of his parents and church family he came to know the love and

salvation that was purchased for him through the finished work of Christ. He responded to the gospel call

and put his faith in Jesus and a year later, at the age of 9, he was baptized. That was 35 years ago.

Since that time God has been graciously teaching him to know and understand the gospel that he first

believed. He graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy and Oklahoma State University with a BA in

Marketing. In 2006, he moved to Fort Worth, Texas to begin working on his masters in theology at

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. While in seminary, working at Starbucks, he met Kerrie his

wife. And after two years of friendship they married (2008) and God has blessed them with two children (Titus, Elli) both are compassionate, kind and show affection.

Jerred and his family moved to Angel Fire in 2025 to join the elders at Angel Fire Baptist Church in shepherding as the lead pastor. Prior to coming to Angel Fire, Jerred served the local church as a pastor to several congregations both in Enid and Kansas and served as chaplain of a YMCA and managed a non-profit coffeehouse with Kerrie. In his spare time, Jerred enjoys spending time with his family, landscaping his yard, hiking/backpacking, reading and roasting, making, and drinking coffee.

His primary hope in pastoral ministry is to walk right before the Lord and pour into life into his wife and

children so that, by God’s grace, they may establish a godly home. Then, it's to preach and teach the Word

as faithfully as he can, giving oversight and direction to see the local church Word-centered, and to build

up faithful disciples who reproduce themselves in others.
